BEST customer service. Their food is tha bomb! Seriously. Craving satisfaction is guaranteed! Don't be shy to order anything off the menu. Tacos Don Chente won't disappoint!

I grew up in Oxnard but live in Los Angeles now. Don Chente's has always had the best street tacos around. Super authentic and incredible nice staff. BEST STREET TACOS IVE HAD!! Always coming back for more!

Don Chente was off the hook! We had the best carne asada tacos , and the bbq ribs were well, AMAZING! We enjoyed a cold cerveza on their new patio, and there was a Mexican polka band playing... I mean, how does it get any better?! We'll be back!

About two years ago I wrote a review for Tacos Don Chente and gave them three stars. There seem to have been some very positive changes since then. The food has seen some improvement, they've opened a new patio (the tables are a bit wobbly). Another change I've noticed is the boss (El Jefe) has been present and watching over everything, and it shows. The biggest change however is the Saturday & Sunday all you can eat brunch, which runs until 2pm. It's not cheap, but at $25 still a bargain for us who can take advantage of the items they have, which is wide ranging. Traditional breakfast items, from french toast to chilaquiles, with roughly a dozen entrée choices to make; Costillas con Chile Colorado, Menudo, Pozole Verde, two kinds of chicken including one in a delicious mole, and other Plus there are hot fresh, house made corn tortillas, guacamole, beans, rice dishes, salsas and condiments of all sorts. And if that isn't enough they have outdoors on their new patio a maned taco bar with Asada, Pastor, Lengua and a really nice Chorizo with just a bit of char. The staff is all super friendly. What a great place to have a cerveza and a giant plate of food, or two or as I did three! You may be able to find each item done better elsewhere, but overall, what a great place to go if you just can't decide what sounds good. Wish I had more than two hands to give them more than two thumbs up.

I was very satisfied with the taste and portion of the food. It was delicious. Many great choices and staff that worked there were very good. I will be coming back. An easy off and on from freeway. Next time I'll try their handmade corn tortillas. They have a buffet on Saturday and Sunday and looks like a lot of great options. Even pancakes and eggs

Wow! Three stars average?! Gotta go with a solid 4. Always friendly, great salsa bar with all the pickled onions and peppers and all that. Best chorizo breakfast burrito in my opinion. Always the best for me.
